6th Sunday of Easter

Introduction(by the Presider)As disciples of the risen Lord, confident in his promise never to leave us alone, we place our needs before God our Father.

  1. For the Church: that through the gift of the Holy Spirit, she may continue to witness faithfully to the love and truth of Christ throughout the world. Lord, hear us.
  2. For our parish community:that we may remain steadfast in faith, hope, and love as we follow the way of Christ. Lord, hear us.
  3. For Christian unity: that the Holy Spirit may guide us toward greater peace and unity among all Christians. Lord, hear us.
  4. For those preparing for exams or making important decisions:that the Holy Spirit may guide them with wisdom and peace. Lord, hear us.
  5. For young people: that they may discover Christ’s presence in their lives and follow him with generosity.
  6. For peace in our world:that the Holy Spirit may guide leaders in promoting peace, dignity, and care for the vulnerable. Lord, hear us.

The Presider prays for the dead: For those who have died (especially N & N): that Christ, who will never leave us orphaned, may bring them to eternal life. Lord, hear us.

Conclusion (by the Presider): Father of love and mercy, you send us the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen us. Hear the prayers we offer through Christ our Lord.
